Marmara Political Science Congress 2025
“Interaction, Critique, and Innovation in Political Science”
The Faculty of Political Science at Marmara University is pleased to announce the inaugural edition of the Marmara Political Science Congress, to be held on November 27–28, 2025 in Istanbul, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Campus.
This interdisciplinary academic event aims to bring together scholars, researchers, and experts from various fields to establish a more comprehensive, critical, and interactive approach to the discipline of political science. The congress is envisioned as a recurring event that will develop into a traditional academic platform in the years to come.
Why This Congress?
Although political science has deepened into various subfields—such as political theory, public administration, local governance, and international relations—this expansion has also led to increasing fragmentation and the weakening of interdisciplinary dialogue. The need to bridge these divisions, support methodological diversity, and encourage collaborative research has become more urgent than ever.
The Marmara Political Science Congress is designed to respond to this need by fostering an inclusive and pluralistic environment that welcomes critical perspectives. Papers presented at the congress are expected to contribute to rethinking the theoretical foundations of political science and addressing contemporary global and local challenges through interdisciplinary lenses.
